Who in Brno hasn’t heard the legend of the Brno dragon? Czech manufacturer Belis, based in České Budějovice, has brought this famous story to life on a special edition of Christmas enamel mugs. Illustrator Iryna Mandrychenko has depicted the Brno dragon’s transformation into a crocodile with wit and elegance. The red-and-white scarf, symbolising Brno’s coat of arms, which the dragon wore when it first appeared to the world at Christmas 2024 in its new crocodile form, has now turned into an inflatable swim ring. Having shed its wings, the little crocodile is now enjoying itself underwater, surrounded by a delicious drink, with its wings resting at the bottom of the mug.
This Christmas 2025, you can look forward to raising a toast with mulled punch in this new story-inspired enamel mug. Its playful design will also introduce children to the legend of the Brno dragon and its unusual transformation.
