A view of the city from a hot air balloon, tickets for a Ferris wheel ride, or original crocodile-themed gifts. Thanks to Christmas in Brno, you could win all this and much more.
The main organiser of the Brno Christmas markets is the Brno-střed district. The markets are held at the Cabbage Market (Zelný trh), in the park and by the Jošt statue at the Moravian Square (Moravské náměstí), on the Bašta terrace near the main train station, partly at the Freedom Square (náměstí Svobody), and, from 4 December, on the so-called Roman Square (Římské náměstí).
This year, several new features have been prepared, including Christmas competitions. “We want visitors to take away unforgettable experiences from the Christmas markets. That’s why we’ve organised a variety of competitions with exciting prizes. They can win gift sets, punch vouchers or tickets to popular attractions, for example. One of the most valuable prizes is a ticket for a sightseeing hot-air balloon flight, which takes off every weekend from the piazza in front of the Janáček Theatre,” said Ludmila Oulehlová (ANO political party), First Deputy Mayor of the Brno-střed district.
All competitions will take place on the official website, vanocebrno.cz, and on the Vánoce Brno social networks and mobile app, which can be downloaded to smartphones. People can use these platforms to find out the conditions and dates of the competitions and all the necessary information about the Brno Christmas markets, including the cultural programme and the opening hours of attractions.
